Zenless Zone Zero Reveals Vivian’s Signature W-Engine

Zenless Zone Zero has officially revealed the signature W-Engine for upcoming S-Rank character Vivian, providing powerful boosts for Ether characters and Anomaly-focused teams. The urban action RPG from HoYoverse has introduced plenty of different mechanics for players to utilize within the game’s combat, with Anomaly as a particularly important element. Players build up Attribute Anomaly by attacking repeatedly enemies with the same Attribute, providing powerful bonuses ranging from increased damage to debuffs for reaching max Anomaly on enemies. Now, one of the game’s next characters looks to be providing a major boost to Anomaly teams.

HoYoverse confirmed the two playable characters coming in Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 1.7 update in the days following the launch of the ongoing Version 1.6. Vivian and Hugo will both join the game’s roster throughout the course of Version 1.7, with Vivian debuting during the first half as an Ether Anomaly character. Vivian is expected to mesh particularly well when paired with other Anomaly characters, likely acting as a strong teammate for Anomaly DPS characters like Miyabi and Yanagi. HoYoverse is now giving players an idea of how Vivian’s signature W-Engine will function.

HoYoverse reveals new Version 1.7 details for Zenless Zone Zero, including the four agents who will be available on the limited banners.

HoYoverse officially revealed Vivian’s signature W-Engine late Saturday night, showing off the “Flight of Fancy” S-Rank W-Engine. Vivian’s signature W-Engine will feature Anomaly Proficiency as its primary stat, granting the wearer 713 Base ATK and a staggering 90 Anomaly Proficiency when fully leveled to Level 60. The W-Engine’s unique “Silver-Spiked Feathers” ability provides a simple yet powerful effect, boosting Anomaly Buildup Rate and further increasing Anomaly Proficiency when dealing Ether damage. Vivian and her signature W-Engine are set to officially debut with the launch of Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 1.7 on April 23.

Vivian’s W-Engine will look to provide a powerful, yet currently limited boost to Zenless Zone Zero‘s cast of Anomaly characters. Vivian’s debut will mark the first character released to Zenless Zone Zero‘s playable roster boasting the combination of the Ether Attribute and Anomaly Specialty. The W-Engine’s generic stat boosts, however, look to make it a powerful option for any future Ether Anomaly characters added to the game, only needing to deal Ether damage to trigger its unique buff.

Vivian won’t be the only new character coming to Zenless Zone Zero during the Version 1.7 update, with one more highly-anticipated character on the way. Hugo Vlad was confirmed to be debuting during the second half of Version 1.7, revealed to be joining the roster as an Ice Attack character. Hugo featured prominently in the main story for the Version 1.6 update, also appearing as an in-game boss as the “Abyssal Enforcer” during the patch. Zenless Zone Zero looks to be ending its “first season” with a bang with two highly-anticipated characters on the way.
