‘It’s Something That We’re Keeping an Eye On’ REPO Developer Speaks About Possible Collaborations

Summary
- REPO developer considers collaborations with other franchises in the future despite current busy slate.
- The game, known for physics-based interactions and humor, draws positive attention and viral videos.
REPO developer semiwork has commented on the possibility of collaborations with other franchises in the viral co-op horror game going forward. While it doesn’t seem like there are any REPO collaborations just around the corner, it seems like it’s certainly on the table at some point for semiwork.
REPO launched into Steam Early Access to massive success in February 2025, and was immediately praised for its hilarious physics-based interactions between players and the game world around them. The game has drawn plenty of positive comparisons to Lethal Company, but sets itself apart with its focus on creating naturally humorous moments for players. Tons of videos about REPO have gone viral online, helping to make the game an immediate success.

Lethal Company Fans Shouldn’t Sleep on REPO
As REPO gains virality on social media, Lethal Company fans should definitely consider giving the new horror co-op darling a try.
In a Q&A video on YouTube, developer semiwork responded to a question about potential collaborations for the co-op horror game in the future, sharing both good news and bad news for players. The developer stated, “Currently, as you might guess, we are way too swamped with stuff… but it will be so fun to do collaborations in the future. So it’s something that we’re keeping an eye on, so to speak.”
REPO May Get Collaborations in the Future, But Developer is “Way Too Swamped” Right Now
It makes a lot of sense – right now, REPO is focused on releasing new content for the game while it’s still in Early Access, rounding out the entire experience for players to enjoy. Players may have to wait before semiwork is ready to focus on collaborating with other franchises in REPO, but the good news is that, in the current plan, it will happen at some point. REPO and its bizarre characters are already hilarious as they are, and the potential for crossovers is enormous.
For now, it’s probably the right move for REPO to focus on making the best use of Early Access possible. According to the game’s Steam page, the plan is to have the game in Early Access for “around 6 to 12 months” from launch, which, compared to some titles, isn’t long at all. Still, the Early Access tag buys the developer a grace period to be able to add plenty more content to the game without the full judgment of a 1.0 release. So far, so good for the title, which currently has “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam.
