Xbox Game Pass has added another day-one release, Commandos: Origins, to its ever-changing lineup of titles. Microsoft’s popular subscription service is one of the best deals for gaming, and after the prices of the Nintendo Switch 2 and its games were recently revealed, even those who hadn’t previously considered an Xbox Game Pass membership are admitting its perks.

Xbox Game Pass is available in four tiers: PC, Core, Standard, and Ultimate. The Xbox Game Pass PC and Ultimate tiers offer many games on launch day, making them ideal for those who like to get their hands on new releases immediately. But the other categories have plenty for gamers as well, including online multiplayer and member discounts. A Core membership gives players access to a rotating catalog of 25 games on console, while the Standard tier has hundreds of titles available to enjoy.

PC and Ultimate tier Game Pass subscribers now have access to Commandos: Origins, which launched on April 9. The original five games in the real-time tactics franchise released between 1998 and 2006, with Commandos 2 and 3 getting HD remasters in 2022. Both Revenge of the Savage Planet and DOOM: The Dark Ages will be available to Ultimate subscribers when they launch on May 8 and 15, respectively. And there are undoubtedly plenty more exciting additions on the way, for members of all tiers.
