Xbox Game Pass is Losing 7 Games on April 15, But There’s Some Good News

Xbox Game Pass will be losing seven games on Tuesday, April 15. The Xbox Game Pass library is constantly evolving. New games are added to the subscription service regularly, but titles are removed on a regular basis as well. Whereas new Game Pass additions can happen pretty much any day, Game Pass removals almost always take place on the 15th and the last day of any given month.

The same seems to be holding true when it comes to the Xbox Game Pass April 2025 updates. The service has received new games like South of Midnight and Commandos: Origins, but it is also set to lose a batch of games in the near future. In fact, seven games have been confirmed to be leaving Xbox Game Pass in April 2025 so far, with those titles set to be removed on the 15th.

At first, it was erroneously stated by Microsoft that Shadow of the Tomb Raider was leaving Xbox Game Pass in April 2025 alongside the seven games that are genuinely leaving the service this month. It’s unclear exactly how much longer Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be on Xbox Game Pass, but subscribers don’t have to worry about it leaving on April 15. Still, it may be a good idea to prioritize a playthrough of Lara Croft’s intense action-adventure before it leaves Game Pass.

Seven games may be leaving Xbox Game Pass in April 2025, but this month is also home to plenty of exciting new additions. Besides recent additions like South of Midnight and Commandos: Origins, Game Pass subscribers can also look forward to the critically-acclaimed Blue Prince coming to Game Pass on April 10, plus Grand Theft Auto 5 joining the service on April 15. There’s also Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to look forward to on April 24, so Game Pass subscribers have plenty to look forward to in the weeks ahead.
