The story follows a world where time is cyclical and history repeats through the ages, presenting a richly detailed world with a magic system and plenty of characters. The Wheel of Time is one of the best-selling epic fantasy series, with over 90 million copies sold, which eventually led to a TV adaptation that was released on Amazon Prime in 2021. Now, fans of Jordan’s books should be excited as a new adaptation of his imaginary universe is on the horizon.

Considering the scope of the story and the world across its 14 books, the game will likely be a large-scale project, and Alexander called it a “rare and ambitious challenge.” The former LOTR Online lead expressed excitement about the project and emphasized his commitment to delivering a game that honors Jordan’s original work.

There are several reasons why The Wheel of Time could work as an RPG, such as its huge and detailed lore, political subplots, various monsters, and different landscapes across its rich world.
