Sea of Thieves Coming to Battle.Net With New Cosmetics

Sea of Thieves is coming to Battle.net in a big way, featuring some brand-new sails inspired by popular Blizzard games like Overwatch 2, Diablo 4, World of Warcraft, and Hearthstone. Fans can pre-purchase Sea of Thieves on Battle.net in three different editions in preparation for its official launch on the platform on May 22.
Since its release in 2018, Sea of Thieves established itself as one of the definitive pirate simulators. Featuring the single-player and co-op Safer Seas setting or the online piratical PvP of the High Seas, Sea of Thieves is currently in its 15th season, each of which has offered new rewards, challenges, and gameplay mechanics.

Sea of Thieves is the latest of several Microsoft games to be made available via Battle.net, including Avowed, Doom: The Dark Ages, and The Outer Worlds 2. Blizzard said it hoped to make Battle.net “the highest quality curated platform” for its fans, so gamers should expect plenty more Xbox titles to arrive on the platform in 2025 and beyond.
Destiny 2 also recently crossed over with Sea of Thieves with a slew of cosmetics inspired by the Bungie shooter. The Lightbearer costume set, weapons, and ship decorations are still available in bundles and for individual Ancient Coin purchase, so players who get the Premium Edition on Battle.net might consider some of these cosmetics while they are still available.
