PS Plus Extra and Premium Games for April 2025 Revealed

Sony has pulled the curtain back on the games coming to the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus in April 2025. New games are added to the Extra and Premium tiers on a monthly basis, ensuring that PlayStation Plus subscribers always have something new to play. Most of the games are older titles, but there are times when PS Plus subscribers are treated to day one releases.

It doesn’t happen often, so it’s always cause for celebration whenever a day one game is added to PS Plus Extra. As it so happens, April 2025 is home to not one, but two day one games for PS Plus subscribers to check out. Those titles will be joined by a few other PS Plus Extra games and a pair of old-school games for the Premium tier of the service.

PlayStation Plus subscribers are receiving another compensation wave from Sony after players endured a major PlayStation Network outage in February.

The critically-acclaimed puzzle game Blue Prince is coming to PS Plus Extra on April 10. Then, on April 15, the usual PS Plus Extra update will take place. At that point, subscribers will have access to Battlefield 1, EA Sports PGA Tour, Hogwarts Legacy, day one game Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 2, and co-op game PlateUp. PS Plus Premium subscribers will be able to play all those games plus Alone in the Dark 2 and War of the Monsters.

Out of all the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games for April 2025, there are some titles that stand out from the pack. Hogwarts Legacy was the best-selling game of 2023, for example, and earned strong reviews at the time of its release. Hardcore Harry Potter fans have likely already played through the open-world adventure, but those that missed out now have the chance to see if the action-RPG lives up to the hype. PlateUp, meanwhile, is a fairly entertaining co-op game that’s great for anyone looking for a local multiplayer experience.

Looking ahead, we already know of at least one other game that’s coming to the PS Plus Premium tier in the future. Wall-E has leaked for PS Plus Premium, though it remains to be seen exactly when it will be added to the service. It’s possible it will be a part of the May 2025 lineup, but it’s also possible that PS Plus Premium subscribers will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on it.
