Summary
- Pokemon Home version 3.3.0 introduces a medal trading feature exclusive to the mobile app.

- Trainers can obtain medals from Pokemon events or Pokemon Center stores and track related events via the Medals tab.
Pokemon Home has launched its version 3.3.0 update following server maintenance and introduced a medal trading feature exclusively for the mobile version. After updating Pokemon Home, trainers on supported iOS and Android devices can now collect and trade medals featuring Starter Pokemon trios of each mainline region, including Kanto, Sinnoh, and Paldea.
Pokemon Home version 3.3.0 arrived two months after the app introduced a way for trainers to obtain Shiny Mythical Pokemon after completing regional Pokedexes. After completing the Kanto Pokedex of Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, users were given a Shiny Meltan that could be sent to other Pokemon games. A complete Galar Pokedex from Pokemon Sword and Shield and its expansions, The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra, will grant players a Shiny Keldeo. Since Keldeo is usually Shiny-locked, Pokemon Home is the only legitimate way to obtain a Shiny variant of the Colt Pokemon.

Even though Pokemon Home is known for allowing players to trade critters between games like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and Pokemon Legends: Arceus, a new update offers something else for fans to trade. Pokemon Home version 3.3.0 launched a medal feature exclusive to the mobile version of the app. These medals feature the Starter Pokemon trios of each mainline Pokemon game released so far, meaning there are currently nine unique medals for players to collect. Pokemon Home‘s 3.3.0 update also fixed some outstanding issues.
Pokemon Home Launches New Medal Collecting Feature
- Pokemon Home version 3.3.0 is now available on mobile devices.
- The update is highlighted by a new medal collection feature for players to use.
- Each medal features one of nine Starter Pokemon trios from the mainline game regions.
- Medals can be traded between players and obtained at Pokemon events.
After updating the Pokemon Home app to version 3.3.0 and logging in, players will be given three copies of a Starter Pokemon medal, though which one an individual user will get is random. For example, the Sinnoh medal will feature Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, while the Johto medal will have Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile on one side. Free users can hold a few medals, while Pokemon Home subscribers will have more medal slots.
Though other games like Pokemon GO offer medals via completing various achievements and collections, the medals of Pokemon Home will be given out at different Pokemon events or Pokemon Center stores. Medals can be traded between friends or via codes that can be scanned or entered. Fans can keep track of which events will feature Pokemon Home medals by selecting the Medals tab from the main menu and then tapping on Related Events.
Between the upcoming Pokemon GO Fest in June and the 2025 Pokemon World Championships taking place in August, trainers have two potential ways to either obtain or trade Pokemon Home medals. Only time will tell how much use the medal feature will get.
