New Persona Game Reportedly Getting Announced in June

Summary
- The rumored Persona 4 remake will reportedly be announced at the next Xbox Games Showcase.
- Microsoft’s big gaming event was just scheduled for June 8 earlier today.
- The Persona 4 remake will reportedly be a day-one Xbox Game Pass release.
The rumored Persona 4 remake will reportedly be announced in June 2025, according to a new report from an established leaker. Such a turn of events might come as a surprise to some Atlus fans, who have long been waiting for the company to announce a different Persona game.
Persona 4 remake rumors have been circulating online for a while now, with the first reports testifying to the project’s existence dating back to early 2024. More recently, an unknown entity registered the p4re.jp domain in Japan in late March 2025, which reignited rumors about a Persona 4 remake being in the works. The last time a similar domain was registered in Japan was back in March 2023, when Atlus bought the p3re.jp domain. Three months later, Persona 3 Reload was announced.

Persona Dev Comments on Potential 1 and 2 Remakes

History could now be on the verge of repeating itself, according to Spanish YouTuber and established Microsoft leaker Extas1s, who claims that the rumored Persona 4 remake will be announced this spring. Its reveal is reportedly planned for the next Xbox Games Showcase, which Microsoft just scheduled for June 8 earlier today.
When Could Persona 4 Remake Be Released?
Except for Persona 5, most of the entries in Atlus’s long-running series dating back to the early 2010s were announced within a year of their eventual release. More recently, Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload‘s reveal-to-release gaps amounted to five and eight months, respectively. Therefore, if the rumored Persona 4 remake indeed gets announced on June 8, historical precedent suggests it could hit the market during the 2025 holiday season or in early 2026.
Persona 4 Remake Will Reportedly Be a Day-One Xbox Game Pass Title
In late March 2025, Extas1s claimed that the Persona 4 remake will be a day-one Xbox Game Pass title. The last two series entries made by Atlus—Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload—also reached Microsoft’s subscription service on day one. Assuming the Persona 4 remake is real, it’s also likely to be available on the PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, not least because Atlus has been pretty consistent with doing multi-platform releases as of late.
While Persona 4 has a cult following, its remake isn’t necessarily the game that every fan of the series would have liked to play next. Persona 6 has been one of the most anticipated JRPGs for a while now, but it’s still nowhere to be seen. The only official update on this project dates back to July 2021, when Atlus confirmed that Persona 6 is in the works.
