Murder Mystery Game Best Served Cold Reveals Release Date [EXCLUSIVE]

Game Rant can exclusively reveal that Best Served Cold, a stylish visual novel game where players take on the role of a bartender working at a speakeasy as they attempt to unravel a high-stakes murder mystery, will launch May 5 for PC via Steam and will come to consoles at a later date. Best Served Cold is the next project from Rogueside Games, the studio that previously worked on titles such as Guns, Gore & Cannoli, War Party, and Hidden Through Time.

Rogueside Games has tried its hand at a variety of genres, with Best Served Cold tackling the visual novel space. In Best Served Cold, players take on the role of the bartender at The Nightcap, a Jazz Age alternate-history European speakeasy. As the bartender, players are tasked with mixing drinks and interacting with The Nightcap’s customers. Through these interactions, players will be able to solve five cases that help unravel the overarching murder mystery at the core of the game’s story. Player choice in Best Served Cold will have a major impact on the proceedings, with some of the characters’ lives on the line.

Visual novel fans intrigued by Best Served Cold should note that the game will be available on PC starting Monday, May 5 at $17.99 with a 10% discount during its first week of availability. Best Served Cold will also be making its way to consoles, with versions planned for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X. The premise certainly sounds interesting, and it will be exciting to see how the story unfolds when Best Served Cold launches for PC on May 5.
