Monster Hunter Wilds Making Changes to Challenge Quests

Capcom has announced that it will be making big changes to the way Monster Hunter Wilds‘ Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests work, eliminating the need to rank on the leaderboard to earn rewards. The popular action RPG has proven to be a huge hit for Capcom, as Monster Hunter Wilds is now the fastest-selling title in the company’s history.

Monster Hunter Wilds recently released Title Update 1, which introduced numerous highly requested features to the game. Capcom added the monster Mizutsune to the title, challenging the skills of new fans and franchise veterans alike. The developers also introduced the Grand Hub to the game, giving hunters a place to gather and socialize with one another. Players can come together to eat meals, play mini-games, and engage in a wide variety of activities at the hub.

Monster Hunter Wilds’ Newest Armor Set Is a Huge Hit

Monster Hunter Wilds players are enjoying one of the newest armor sets added to Capcom’s popular action RPG after Title Update 1.

In a recent post on Twitter, Capcom stated that it will be making significant and immediate changes to Monster Hunter Wilds‘ Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests. Players will no longer be required to achieve a specific leaderboard ranking in order to claim rewards associated with the quests. Instead, gamers will be rewarded for either participating in the quests or achieving a specific time that isn’t dependent upon the leaderboard, preventing players from being in competition with one another. While the developers didn’t share a specific reason for the change, they did thank the community for the constant feedback and support.

Monster Hunter Wilds Players Don’t Have to Place on the Leaderboard for Challenge Quest Rewards

In a follow-up post, Capcom stated that it would be reviewing leaderboard rankings for time-based competition quests in order to find accounts that have been cheating the system to get ahead. The developers said they will be taking action against cheaters in Monster Hunter Wilds, suspending or banning accounts that have been found guilty of wrongdoing in Arena and Challenge Quests. Event rewards related to the quests will be given to players after a review period of one or two weeks. During this time, any fraudulent time will be removed from the leaderboard.

Many gamers have been enjoying the rewards Monster Hunter Wilds gives out to fans for completing event quests. A recent quest rewarded players with the Amstrigian layered head armor that makes it look like the fan-favorite (and fan-named) Pukei-Pukei bird is sitting on top of the hunter’s head. Gamers can craft this piece of armor after completing the When Do Quematrice Sing event quest by April 22. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Monster Hunter Wilds.
