The developer behind the timeless Doom franchise, id Software, has united with Limited Run Games to bring fans the jaw-dropping “Will It Run” Edition, and the bundle comes with impressive goodies, not to mention a box that can run the game itself. Doom has transcended its original, pioneering title in the FPS genre to become a full-blown media franchise, spanning eight main entries, a novel series, a comic book one-shot, and a few movie adaptations, including the 2005 cult classic with Karl Urban.
A bundle compiling Doom and Doom 2 together received a surprise drop last year, which brought cross-platform multiplayer and an in-game mod to run Doom’s predecessor titles. The 2023 SIGIL 2 campaign was recently added to the Doom and Doom 2 collection for free, crafted by original designer John Romero, joining the first SIGIL in the latest update. If this content bundle wasn’t enough, Limited Run Games will soon release the ultimate edition for hardcore fans.
