Croc: Legend of the Gobbos – Official Release Date Trailer
Don’t miss the official release date trailer for the remaster of the classic platforming game Croc: Legend of the Gobbos.
Croc: Legend of the Gobbos update 1.0.4 is now available on GOG with several bug fixes, and Argonaut Games released patch notes on April 17 to outline what has changed in all versions of the remaster. Collision issues with the spiky ball, odd positioning and stuttery movement, and missing particle effect issues have all been fixed, so players should have a more polished experience while playing the game. In addition, puzzle pieces on the island level select screen will now correctly identify collected puzzle pieces, and the music track selection now matches the original PlayStation release from 1997. The music track length displayed on the Crocipedia screen has been fixed for some tracks which previously displayed incorrect track lengths.
What’s more, update 1.0.4 fixed a rendering issue involving save data in the Croc: Legend of the Gobbos remaster. Previously, brand-new saves would cause the game to incorrectly default to a custom rendering preset, which potentially affected performance on PC for some players before the update was released. The PC version also received a bug fix for occasional crashes while loading or playing FMVs.
Some platform-specific issues were fixed to improve the in-game experience for console players. The Nintendo Switch version received “overwhelming user feedback” due to the in-game controls not being ideal for the console’s button layout. As a result, Argonaut Gmaes moved the position of the Jump, 180-degree Flip, and Attack buttons to match the original game and all other platforms. Trophy and achievement fixes were applied to the PlayStation and Xbox versions of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, and the developers are still investigating the game’s frame rate issues on the ASUS ROG Ally handheld.
