Helldivers 2 takes a seasonal approach, something that should feel quite normal in the age of live service games, though Arrowhead has managed to make each season feel fun and unique thanks to making different planets and factions the focus of these updates. Most recently, players were tasked with stopping the Meridian wormhole. However, PC performance has become a big enough issue that the Arrowhead team is now weighing in directly.

We’re tracking closely and have numerous things in motion. We’ll be sharing details on what we’ll do in the not too distant future. We appreciate the patience until we get back to our usual performance.” With each new season of Helldivers 2 comes new weapons, armor, and other items, all of which Jorjani says can be taxing on the game and hardware. He hopes that in the future, new content can be added with less impact on performance.
