Genshin Impact Leak Hints at Skirk’s Talent

A new leak shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker Seele Leaks is hinting at Skirk’s passive Talent ability within Genshin Impact. According to the post, Skirk’s “core talent” will revolve heavily around the Elements of other characters within her party, gaining a boost to her Skill multipliers for having more Hydro and Cryo teammates. The information aligns with previous rumors that Skirk will be an effective choice for Freeze-focused team compositions, said to pair particularly well with Version 5.6 five-star character Escoffier. Skirk’s release window within Genshin Impact is currently unknown.

Skirk’s potential focus around Freeze teams would follow several recent character designs centering around particular Elemental Reactions. Chevreuse’s launch during Version 4.3 saw the four-star character become a popular sub-DPS option for Overload teams, typically viewed as one of Genshin Impact‘s weaker combinations. Many recent characters have looked to accentuate particular playstyles, with Version 5.5 five-star unit Varesa focused around Plunging Attacks as her main gimmick. Regional gimmicks, like Font of Life and Nightsoul’s Blessing, have also become a popular design element for new characters.

The rumored introduction of Skirk to Genshin Impact‘s roster would likely look to lead into the game’s next major region, releasing later this year. HoYoverse has already begun to tease fans with the Snezhnayan border region of Nod-Krai, releasing a full web event hinting at the lore and some factions involved with Nod-Krai’s story. Several past regions have also been rumored to see map expansions as part of the Nod-Krai cycle, including Mondstadt and Inazuma. Genshin Impact fans look to have lots in store in the coming months between new characters and the game’s next region.
