Diablo 4 has unveiled a new battle pass system that will be released in Season 8. Previously, Diablo 4 boss Rod Fergusson spoke on the subject and revealed the possibility of moving away from the current system, introducing a new way for the game to handle its rewards.
The Diablo 4 battle pass consists of 90 tiers, 28 of which are available for free and all 90 of which are available in the premium version. There is also the accelerated version, which includes all the rewards of the premium pass, 20-tier skips, and an emote for each class. As players unlock these tiers, they will unlock items such as Smoldering Ashes, armor transmogs, weapons, mounts, headstones, and more. This system has been available since the first season of Diablo 4, but now Blizzard has revealed that it will soon receive a big overhaul.

Unlike the previously released Diablo 4 battle passes, with this new system players will be able to claim rewards in any order they like. Favor Tokens will be used to unlock items, and can be obtained by killing monsters and completing quests. After unlocking all the rewards from a Reliquary, players can claim a bonus item, which will be a piece of the Guise of the Deceiver armor. This impressive set of equipment comes in shades of blue and black, and has two intimidating pairs of horns, pointed shoulder pads, and golden claws for players to cut their way through Sanctuary.
With the announcement of Diablo 4 Season 8, Blizzard has given an exciting overview of what players can expect from the game from April 29. In addition to the overhauled battle pass, Diablo 4 will add new Unique items and Legendary Aspects for each class. Belial will also return to the game, which will get quality-of-life changes and bring nerfs to overpowered builds.
