Dead by Daylight Leak Teases New Feature ‘Similar to Fortnite’

Summary
- Dead by Daylight may introduce Creator Codes soon, similar to Fortnite’s Support-A-Creator program.
- The leaker noted the devs’ previous note to talk more about their plans for the Creator Program in May.
A Dead by Daylight leaker has recently suggested that an exciting new feature is coming to Behaviour Interactive’s asymmetrical horror game, and the addition is said to be similar to Fortnite. Epic Games’ battle royale is as popular as ever, and the live-service title has undoubtedly inspired several other multiplayer games to take heed of its winning formula. Dead by Daylight has also been a big hit in the horror genre since its 2016 PC release, and the idea that the survival game could be taking a leaf from Fortnite’s book is an exciting one.
Dead by Daylight sees players embark on 1v4 games, where one participant takes on the role of the Killer, while the other four play the Survivors. Some of the notable horror characters populating the game include Leatherface, The Pig from the Saw franchise, and The Shape from the Halloween series. Since Behaviour has some big plans for the survival game this year, there are several reasons why 2025 is the perfect time for players to get Dead by Daylight in their crosshairs, and the recent leak suggests a new feature may be giving back to creators.

Dead by Daylight Leaker Suggests Creator Codes Are Imminent
Players warmly received Dead by Daylight’s recent Tokyo Ghoul crossover, but the leak did not go down so well among smaller creators. In response to the leak, one Twitter user was certain these codes wouldn’t apply to “little guys like myself,” and another player agreed, saying the codes will likely only be in place for Dead by Daylight partners and the likes.
The community was recently treated to Dead by Daylight’s Update 8.6.1, which brought several improvements to some of the game’s most popular features. Alongside the expected general bug swatting, fixes for the Tokyo Ghoul killer were implemented, as well as Blood Moon Event changes to bonuses, for example. To make gameplay more seamless, alterations were also made to The Ghoul’s abilities, maps, and perks, in a bid to keep the hunt fair and square between Killers and Survivors.
