Assassin’s Creed Shadows Disables Popular Feature

Summary
- The recently added Multi-sell feature has been temporarily removed in Assassin’s Creed Shadows due to unexpected issues.
- A new hotfix also fixes stuttering issues on PC, addresses crashes, and more.
- Ubisoft has not said when the feature will return.
One of Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘ best new quality-of-life features, the ability to mark gear to auto-sell all at once, has been removed from the game. Since being released to positive reception on March 20, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has held the top spot on the sales charts for three weeks in a row. Because of this, the game impressively sits behind only Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds as the second best-selling game of 2025 so far.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ first major patch came earlier this month, on April 8, and added a flood of improvements, bug fixes, and handy new features. Among these added features was auto-follow, which allows players’ horses to follow the pathfinder line hands-free. Another big bug fix addressed the Hideout framerate, which was previously unintentionally capped at 30 FPS in the game’s performance mode, making visits to the player-created area a bit jarring. Perhaps the most useful addition that came as part of the patch was the ability to tag multiple items to sell or dismantle all at once, making gear management in menus a bit less clunky.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Yasuke Could Be an Interesting Role Model for Far Cry
Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Yasuke is unlike anything the series has seen before, and hopefully, Ubisoft takes that fun concept to Far Cry.
In a new Assassin’s Creed Shadows hotfix, Title Update 1.0.3, Ubisoft claims to have temporarily disabled the previously added multi-sell feature due to “unexpected issues.” Ubisoft didn’t exactly make it clear why the feature had to be removed, and didn’t provide any sort of ETA for when players may be able to see the quality-of-life feature return in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Players who prefer to dismantle unused gear at the Hideout’s Forge for extra materials may still be in luck, as Ubisoft’s wording in the patch notes only mentions multi-selling in shops specifically. As for the rest of Title Update 1.0.3, it includes a small handful of additional fixes that might make up for the loss of auto-selling for the time being. A bug having to do with calling Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘ ally characters into battle has been ironed out, as has a strange issue related to the Claw of the Dragon weapon skin causing crashes. PS5 Pro users benefit from the new hotfix as well, with resolutions to HDR and PSSR issues.
Players who enjoyed taking advantage of Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ multi-sell feature will have to wait until it’s added back in a future patch. Looking ahead, Ubisoft already has a story DLC planned for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, called Claws of Awaji, slated to release sometime later this year. Assassin’s Creed fans should keep an eye on Ubisoft’s social media for any info about the game’s next patch, as well as its Claws of Awaji DLC.
