Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is adding many long-requested features in a new update. Fans had been waiting years for Capcom to rerelease its line-up of Marvel crossover fighting games when Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics was announced last year, as these games are some of the defining titles in the genre. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was especially requested, with big-name gamers like Maximillion Dodd lobbying for Capcom to rerelease it on social media.
These requests were finally answered when Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics launched on PlayStation 4 and PC in late 2024. The collection would be released on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One at a later date, with the former bringing with it an update that addressed numerous bugs and technical issues in the original release. Meanwhile, the Xbox Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection launch came as a surprise back in February 2025, with Xbox even offering the action-packed compilation at a discount price for a limited time.
