April 15 is Going to Be a Busy Day for PS Plus Premium

This coming Tuesday, April 15 marks the next update for PlayStation Plus, with Premium tier subscribers especially having a lot to look forward to. The Premium tier of PlayStation Plus ensures that subscribers get absolutely everything that the service has to offer. With a PS Plus Premium subscription, subscribers get the monthly free games from the Essential tier, the new titles that are added to Extra, and, of course, the Premium-exclusive classics.
PS Plus Premium subscribers have already had a fairly exciting April 2025. The month kicked off with the free PS Plus games for April 2025, comprised of the well-received first-person shooter game RoboCop: Rogue City, asymmetrical multiplayer horror game The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and the RPG Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory.

Then, on April 10, two new games were added to PS Plus Extra, with Premium subscribers getting access to them as well. The new PS Plus Extra games added on April 10 were Blue Prince, a puzzle game that has earned rave reviews and is currently one of the highest-rated new game releases of the year, and EA Sports PGA Tour, the latest entry in EA’s golf game franchise. The next day PS Plus Premium subscribers will want to take note of is Tuesday, April 15, as that’s when they can look forward to Battlefield 1, Hogwarts Legacy, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 2, and PlateUp on the Extra tier as well as Alone in the Dark 2 and War of the Monsters on the Premium tier.

There will be plenty of new games for PS Plus Premium subscribers to check out on Tuesday, April 15, but that day is also when some titles will no longer be available for the service. At least eight games are leaving PS Plus Extra that day, with Animal Well, Deliver Us Mars, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Miasma Chronicles, Nour: Play With Your Food, Slay the Spire, Stray Blade, and Tales of Kenzera: Zau all confirmed to be on their way out. Disco Elysium is also rumored to be leaving PS Plus that same day, though that particular departure has yet to be 100% confirmed.

After April 15, the next day that PS Plus subscribers will want to mark on their calendars is Wednesday, April 30. On that day, it’s highly likely that Sony will pull the curtain back on the free PS Plus games for May 2025, so fans should keep an eye out.
