A Fake Schedule 1 Mobile Game Is Trending on Some App Stores

Summary

  • A fake mobile version of Schedule 1 is topping the charts in some countries.
  • The game is priced at $4.99 USD and appears to be a port of the Schedule 1 demo, using assets from the original game.
  • Player reviews have labeled the game a “scam” and noted that it was not created by the original developer.

A fake mobile version of the smash hit Steam game, Schedule 1, has made its way to the top of the charts in some countries. Schedule 1 entered early access on Steam last month, quickly finding success with hundreds of thousands of concurrent players. While the indie title receives regular updates, the sole developer of Schedule 1 has to confirm an official mobile port.

As of writing, Schedule 1 is only available on PC via Steam. While Tyler, the game’s creator, has confirmed that official Steam Deck support is in the works, Schedule 1 is not available on consoles or mobile devices. Unfortunately, that doesn’t appear to have prevented others from developing fake versions of the game. Earlier this month, Tyler warned fans that games appearing on the official PlayStation Store with “Schedule 1” in the name had no affiliation with him. Although he did state that he would “love to port Schedule 1 to console,” the game is currently only available on PC.

Schedule 1 Releases Another New Update For April 2025

TVGS releases another new update for Schedule 1, bringing numerous necessary tweaks and bug fixes to the popular game.

While Tyler has yet to officially address the issue, fans have noticed that a fake mobile port of Schedule 1 has skyrocketed to the top of the charts in some countries. In the US, “Schedule 1 Drug Dealer,” priced at $4.99 USD, has reached the number one spot in the Entertainment category of the Apple App Store. The title features the same key art, name, and logo, and is supposedly an actual playable version of the game; however, it appears to have no affiliation with the game’s developer, Tyler, also known as TVGS.

According to one user, the mobile game is actually a port of the title’s demo, rather than the full game, meaning players will be unable to progress past a certain point in Schedule 1‘s main story. While there appear to be a handful of positive reviews, some have called it a “scam” and noted that it was not created by the original developer. “If you pay, you will not get access to the full game,” one review reads.

This appears to be the latest issue facing developer TVGS, following the huge success of Schedule 1. Shortly after the game’s early access release, Movie Games S.A., the publisher behind Drug Dealer Simulator, began an investigation into Schedule 1 as the studio believed it may have violated its intellectual property. Movie Games S.A. claims that Schedule 1 has used elements from Drug Dealer Simulator, including plot, gameplay mechanics, and user interface.

Players have also been having numerous issues with Schedule 1 mods, as many of the most popular ones appear to be infested with malware. Mods for any game should always be downloaded at the player’s own risk; however, there seems to be extra risk associated with Schedule 1 mods, as various mods, such as Just Enough Drugs and Better Casino, among others, have been found to beinfested with malware.
