Pokemon GO Announces New May Raid Day

Pokemon GO announces a new Raid Day for May, and players will have the golden chance to capture a critter of limited availability.

Pokemon GO accidentally announced the Growing Up event, which will run from Friday, May 2 at 10 am to Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 8 pm local time. During this period, Pokemon GO players will hatch Riolu, Happiny, and Wimpod from 2 km eggs, while 5 km eggs will hatch Mime Jr. and 10 km eggs will hatch Toxel. All the critters that trainers hatch will have a shiny of being a shiny, while Toxel may still hatch from 10 km eggs after the event ends. Trainers will also have an increased chance of finding shiny Magikarp, Swablu, Wimpod, Pokemon XXS, and XXL in the wild, and of hatching shiny Wimpod. Other bonuses available will be double XP when evolving Pokemon, and double Candy when hatching eggs.
