Marvel Rivals Reveals Gameplay of a New MCU Skin for Doctor Strange

Summary

  • Doctor Strange is receiving a new skin based on his appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
  • While there’s no official price for the cosmetic bundle, it is expected to release on April 17 at 7 PM PDT.
  • Peni Parker will also be receiving a new skin based on a design by the popular artist Peach Momoko.

Marvel Rivals has released gameplay footage of the new Doctor Strange skin modeled after his zombie form in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. NetEase Games recently released Season 2 of Marvel Rivals, which introduced Emma Frost as a new Vanguard. Ultron will also be added to the ever-expanding roster of the popular hero shooter during a major mid-season update.

NetEase Games made a lot of balance changes leading up to Season 2, and players are starting to see the impact of those alterations. The win rates of Marvel Rivals heroes were recently revealed, which contained a few surprises. While Rocket Raccoon initially seemed like he was receiving multiple nerfs ahead of Season 2, he actually has the second-highest win rate out of all the characters, trailing right behind Mister Fantastic. Some people believe this could be due to a major change made to his ultimate ability, which normally provided a 40% damage boost to his teammates. Now, the damage boost has been reduced to 25%, but the ability provides a substantial amount of healing to all teammates linked to it. While allies might not be dishing out as much damage as before, their survivability has certainly increased.

Marvel Rivals Showcases a New MCU Skin for Doctor Strange

Many fans seem to be excited about the new skin, as it’s very different from any of Doctor Strange’s other costumes. However, some gamers are disappointed that the hero received some nerfs ahead of Season 2. Marvel Rivals Peni Parker will also be receiving a new skin based on artwork by Peach Momoko. As of writing, there’s no official word about just how much either cosmetic bundle will cost.
